Anthony’s Pilates Kinesiology three-day certification course is a rich multimodal experience using clay modelling on skeletons, industry leading Pilates specific 3D anatomy videos and images, and practical work. Topics will be covered in lecture format with lots of supportive multimedia video and practical application in the studio, enabling you to explore real life meaning in a Pilates specific context. The course is designed to create a learning experience that will forever change the way that you observe, teach and participate in Pilates classes. Injuries and Pathologies

“Pilates for clients with medical pathologies”

23 – 25 Aug 2019, 9am – 4pm |  Sydney CBD Studio

This three-day certificate course presents a physical therapy approach to working with clients who have common injuries, physical limitations, or movement dysfunctions, guiding students through injury definitions, causes and symptoms educating you on what you, as a Pilates instructor, can do for your clients to avoid exacerbating certain conditions. Focusing on the cervical and lumbar spine, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle and foot, the course covers functional anatomy, bio-mechanics and current literature. Students learn about precautions and / or contraindications for these conditions, as well as exercise options and modifications to the original BASI Pilates repertoire. About Ed Botha, BASI Faculty (South Africa, Australia)

Ed Botha is a BASI Pilates Faculty Instructor and joined the Dynamic Pilates team after relocating to Sydney from Cape Town, South Africa where he previously owned and ran a successful Pilates studio business. Ed has been teaching BASI Pilates for the past 16 years and has a keen interest in human movement, which started initially with the practice of martial arts. Over the course of the past 16 years Ed has worked with a range of clients from top-tier athletes to being widely known for his expertise in BASI Pilates and is a highly accredited member of the BASI Pilates faculty, making him a face many already recognise and trust in the industry, which has enabled him to travel the world teaching Pilates courses and workshops in the USA, Australia, UK, Italy, Greece, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Turkey and London. Ed is Sydney’s BASI Instructor and currently leads BASI Teacher Training and Workshops at Dynamic Pilates while also taking Private and Semi-Private sessions and of course instructs regular Pilates classes at our Manly Studio

About Samantha Wood, BASI Faculty (USA)

Samantha Wood is a licensed physical therapist since 1997, PMA Certified Pilates Instructor, Yoga Alliance certified teacher, and an international educator and Associate Faculty member for BASI Pilates, not to forget obtaining an MBA from USC. Samantha’s clinical expertise includes Pilates-based rehabilitation, yoga therapy, orthopedics, sports therapy, and functional rehabilitation. Samantha began her Pilates studies in 2001 with Rael Isacowitz and over the years since has attended many of Rael’s advanced courses, including the prestigious Mentor and Master Programs.  Samantha is passionate about Pilates and how it can enhance healing in injured clients and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience with others.  Samantha has worked with many celebrities and professional athletes – while at Health South in Arizona, Samantha was the Personal Trainer for the Phoenix Suns, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Mercury, and Arizona Rattlers.

About Meredith Rogers, BASI Faculty (USA)

Meredith is well respected in the Pilates industry. Meredith has been accredited by BASI Pilates since 2000 and joined the BASI Faculty in 2007. As a proud senior faculty member she relishes the opportunities she has been given to share the Pilates method and the BASI technique with students all over the globe. Meredith is a regular presenter for the online Pilates program, Pilates Anytime. Born and raised in Lake Tahoe, Meredith is passionate about all things athletic. As a child she competed in soccer and downhill skiing. Meredith discovered the Pilates method to rehabilitate a knee injury and immediately fell in love with the method. She then went on to complete her BASI Comprehensive training. The rest is history! Now based in California, Meredith travels the world sharing her love of the Pilates method. When she isn’t practicing Pilates or teaching, Meredith continues her loves of sport with swimming, hiking and snow sports. About Anthony Lett

Anthony Lett is an international Pilates presenter and author with over 25 years of teaching and coaching. A Pilates student for 25 years, Anthony has run his practice in Melbourne, Australia for 10 years. He gives new insight into the Pilates system that is applicable to both well-being and clinically based programs. Anthony has a diverse background with university qualifications in Philosophy, Sports Science, Exercise Medicine, Mind/body medicine and Clinical Anatomy.
